Welcome to AIKA Academy ("AIKA", "we", "us"), a service operated by AIKA Tech LTD (a company being incorporated in the Republic of Ireland), trading as AIKA Academy. These Terms govern your use of the AIKA platform. By creating an account for your child or by using AIKA, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
AIKA is an AI-literacy academy for children aged 8โ15. Through guided conversations and lessons, children learn how AI works, how to use it wisely, and how to think critically about it. AIKA is designed to be used under parental supervision.
AIKA is intended for children aged 8 to 15. A child under the age of digital consent (16 in Ireland) may only use AIKA with the verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian, who must create and supervise the account and provide the child's correct age. By signing your child up you confirm you are at least 18 and are that child's parent or legal guardian.
When using AIKA, you and your child agree not to:
AIKA's tutor is powered by AI and may occasionally produce inaccurate or incomplete information. AIKA is an educational aid, not a source of professional, medical, legal, or safety advice. Parents should review their child's learning โ full conversation visibility is provided in the Parent dashboard. AIKA is a learning tool: we do not guarantee any particular educational result, grade, or outcome, as learning depends on many factors outside our control.
We use your child's conversations and progress only to operate and improve AIKA's educational experience for your child (for example, to personalise lessons and track progress). We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or hand a child's personal conversations to third parties to train their own AI models. See our Privacy Policy for full detail and for how to request deletion.
The AIKA platform, branding, lessons, and software are owned by AIKA. Content your child creates inside AIKA (notes, journal entries, lesson responses) belongs to the child/parent. You grant AIKA a limited licence to store and display that content solely to operate the service for you. You can request its deletion at any time (see our Privacy Policy).
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms or is used in a way that harms other users or the service. You may stop using AIKA and request deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@aika.social.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AIKA (a private beta) is provided without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Your privacy and your child's data are covered by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms and is written to comply with GDPR and COPPA.
We may update these Terms as AIKA evolves. If we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where we hold a parent email, give at least 30 days' notice before the change takes effect (immediate changes may be made where needed for legal compliance or child safety). Continuing to use AIKA after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dublin, Ireland. Nothing in these Terms removes any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under Irish or EU law.
Questions about these Terms? Email hello@aika.social.
